HE WHO HAS NOT BEEN SEEN

I go by the name Sinema like the cinema but with an “s” for sin city. I grew up in a small village in Hawaii with three older brothers and a mother who I owe all my creativity to. As young as I could remember she would always encourage me to use my imagination and always be creating. About 7 years old my mother bought our first video camera at a garage sale. She would make me film my brothers football games so she could cheer and didn’t have to worry about recording, since then I’ve been hooked. Being a kid it was the coolest thing to be able to watch what you filmed. It was like going back in time, my own personal time machine. In grade school art and cinema production classes was an easy pick for me. After high school I attended UNLV studying hospitality and business thinking I need to find something that was of the norm not knowing my journey would all add up in the end. Soon after couple of years working a 9 to 5 there was something that bothered me that I was meant to do something more, something that I loved to do. I dabbled in my own clothing line and freelance around graphic arts. From that I went into owning my own jewelry line and working with 3D design and printing. Eventually I finally gave in and quit my job and pursued my passion for film and photography. I wouldn’t consider myself just a photographer or a videographer because I feel like that limits me. I’m an artist. We get inspired by everything around us. The best work you can create is by truly believing you are limitless. Anyone can film something or snap a photo, but to work with passion and love for what you do is what elevates you from others and that is what I aspire to do for every project I create to think outside the box of a content creator. Lastly I’ll leave you a lesson in art my mother taught me that I hold closly. There is no mistake in art, you can always turn them into something if you keep your mind open to possibilities.
